AMFWF’s mandate is to raise awareness and funds for assistance for landmine survivors, families of landmine survivors and landmine affected communities. This includes programs for educational support, building schools, micro-businesses, food distribution, dental hygiene, bicycle distribution and recently rebuilding of homes in Cambodia. A Mine Free World Foundation (AMFWF) is a registered non-profit organization based in Waterloo Region founded in 2006 by Maria Almudevar–van Santen.
